Gratitude for 2015

Gratitude for 2015

It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by. Last year at this time, my newsletter focused on all that I had learned and was thankful for in 2014, which was the best year of my life, until now. Amazingly, 2015 has been an even better year, and I am so incredibly grateful.

This year, I took on new challenges that resulted in surpassing my business goals, while still having a load of fun in my down time. I traveled to six different states for business and vacations, attended nine fantastic concerts/shows, and managed to get out nearly every day to walk or bike ride. Thus, I successfully achieved my most important personal goal of maintaining work-life balance.

Most significantly this year, I had a health scare that is thankfully nothing to worry about. However, it resulted in a total overhaul of my eating habits, which I plan to continue for the rest of my life. My diet is now entirely free of wheat and dairy, which are two huge contributors to many diseases including cancer. I am grateful that I found out about this from my good friend and healthy weight coach, Diane Norris, and changed how I eat before it’s too late. (You can read more about the dangers of wheat in the book “Wheat Belly” by William Davis, MD.)

As you reflect on this past year, I hope that you have much to be grateful for. Practicing gratitude for all that we have instead of focusing on what we don’t have is the key to happiness. I wish you good health and much happiness this holiday season and a very prosperous new year. May 2016 be our best year yet.
