This is the most important newsletter I’ve ever written, and different from all the others. I felt called to write it. The Sound of Freedom opens in movie theaters on July 4 and is based on the inspirational true story of real-life hero, Tim Ballard (played by Jim Cavielzel - The Passion of the Christ), a US agent who quits his job to devote his life to rescuing children from trafficking. You can watch the official movie trailer by clicking here.
Although this horrific reality is difficult to comprehend, the first step in solving any problem is to acknowledge that it exists. Their goal is to inspire 2 million people to attend the movie’s opening weekend to represent the 2 million trafficked children each year around the world and raise awareness about this heart wrenching truth. This growing tragedy is the second most profitable illegal industry in the United States, behind only the drug trade. This movie is very tastefully done (no children are shown being harmed) and will have you standing on your feet cheering by the end. If this cause touches your heart, you can contribute to the solution in a few different ways.
Here's how you can help:
Although there is much division in our country and across the world, this is a uniting cause that requires us ALL to come together world-wide to address it. All of us with a conscience and a heart can get behind saving our world’s children. By banding together, I truly believe we can eradicate this horrendous problem from our world. I urge you to please take action through one or more of the suggestions above. What if it were your child or grandchild?
